Aron Chiesa, born in 1996, is the recent winner of the Principal Clarinet audition of Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Since 2017, he has held the same position in the Sinfonieorchester Basel in Switzerland. His orchestral career started very early, as Principal Clarinet of the Opera Royal de Wallonie in Liège at the age of nineteen. Aron has been invited as Principal Clarinet in prestigious orchestras such as Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, Tonhalle Orchestra in Zürich, Orchestra del Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Rotterdam Philarmonic Orchestra, Orchestre Philarmonique de Luxembourg. He has collaborated with conductors such as Zubin Metha, Riccardo Chailly, Daniele Gatti, Paavo Jarvi, Leonidas Kavakos and Ivor Bolton. Since the age of five he started to play the clarinet with Calogero
Palermo, who is nowadays his mentor. In 2013 Aron graduated at the Conservatory Briccialdi in Terni with Laude and Honorable Mention. He is prizewinner of many international competitions such as Carl Nielsen Clarinet Competition, Dimitri Ashkenazy Clarinet Competition, Ghent International Clarinet Competition, International Crusell Competition, International Competition Valentino Bucchi, Premio delle Arti promoted by the Italian Ministry of Education, Czech Clarinet Art Competition, he get a special prize as Best Performing Partecipant in the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
Aron has appeared as a soloist with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Lviv Philarmonic Orchestra, Russische Kammerphilarmonie St. Petersburg, Copenhagen Philarmonic Orchestra, Philarmonie Baden Baden.
